Quick update

So what happened to the weekly (and event he daily) updates I mentioned? Not sure. But I don't like how it's going. April 31st to May 31st is the new time line to get the site all ready, the plans all set, and the challenge about to begin.

A change of plans

I had planned to start The Zone in 2 years. And subsequently launch 250k in 250days by September 2008. I wish I could say that I am WAY ahead of schedule. But I'm not.

But here's what I have been doing for the last couple days, weeks, months -

...absolutely nothing.


And I realized, that while both my business and starting it is based on being challenging, the timeline is just not challenging. While 2 years may seem like a reasonable amount of time to start a business, it leaves no urgency, no call to action, and no motivation to get up and do it now.
So here's what I'm going to do. Instead of putting the 250k in 250days challenge of to March 2009. I'm going to start it up the first day of my summer break (i.e. May 31 2008). A year in advance.

Does this mean I feel I am ready to start the business and don't need the time to plan? Not at all. On the contrary, I'm changing the date so there is an actual URGENCY for me to plan, prepare and be ready. Anyway, as no one is reading this, it's somewhat pointless. But getting it out there just makes it that much more concrete.

So expect weekly updates from now on, if not daily.

Let me end with something that most of you won't get...

I'm serious.
